Dr. Karri, an experienced veterinarian at the “Vet Ranch” animal clinic, was deeply shocked when she saw Violet, a small puppy with several bite marks and purple fur. Violet’s owner had brought her in to be euthanized, claiming she had been mauled by a larger dog.
Sadly, many bait dogs used for combat dog training are often marked with purple fur. Violet’s owner, however, explained that the purple color came from a wound spray applied shortly after the mauling. Due to poor medical care, Violet’s injuries went untreated for weeks, leaving her fighting for her life.
In a revealing video, Dr. Karri walks us through the difficult medical procedures she performed on Violet. The puppy endured intense treatment, including strong pain relievers and antibiotics to address her numerous infections and abscesses. After 12 days of careful monitoring, Violet had finally recovered from the critical stage.
The contrast between Violet’s defeated demeanor at the beginning and her joyful, energetic run at the end is heartwarming. She can’t hide her gratitude as she cuddles in Dr. Karri’s arms!
Once fully healed, Violet was quickly adopted by a loving family. Her new mother, Kelly, and her Jack Russell doggy sister, Peanut, welcomed her into their home. A huge thank you to Dr. Karri for giving Violet a second chance at life!
Dr. Karri truly worked miracles, and the heartwarming transformation is captured in the video below!
