Star Network Rescue (RRSA India) received a call about a tiny puppy in distress. This little pup, later named Raahi, was suffering from a massive growth on her belly, which was so large it prevented her from resting comfortably. A street puppy with no one to care for her, Raahi was alone and struggling.
Her mass appeared to be enormous, almost like a tumor. Concerned for her well-being, the team rushed her for immediate medical care. After a thorough examination, the veterinary team diagnosed Raahi with an inguinal hernia. Despite her small size, they determined that surgery was the safest option to give her a chance at a better life.
Raahi underwent surgery, during which the team carefully removed the hernia and also took out two loose teeth. Though she was tiny, the surgery was a success, and she was stitched up and placed in a cozy shelter to recover.
The first few days after surgery were tough for Raahi. She was weak and needed a lot of rest, but the caring shelter staff ensured she was well taken care of. As the days passed, Raahi began to show signs of improvement. Her energy levels increased, and she was visibly more comfortable, especially when lying down—no longer burdened by the giant mass that once troubled her.
With time, Raahi made a full recovery. She became a happy, energetic little pup, full of life and love. It was clear that she was feeling much better and ready to face the world with a wagging tail.
Raahi’s story is a beautiful reminder of the importance of compassion and the difference a little help can make.
